When can I go home after surgery?

Generally speaking, the time varies from patient to patient and procedure to procedure, but hopefully within 5-7 days after surgery one is discharged. There is coordination between the Cardiologist, the Internist, and the Surgeons as to when you can go home, but we certainly do not want you to go home until you feel that it is appropriate as well. Going home can be discussed with your doctor at any time as you recover in the hospital.
